A local cider company is re-launching to start a cider revolution Houston didn’t know it needed.
Leprechaun Premium Hard Cider was launched four years ago by Houstonian Jake Schiffer. In order to shorten the distance from seed to bottle, the production had taken place outside the Lone Star State in a cidery in Oregon. There, between the cost of production and resources of the cidery, the company was only able to make and sell in stores in 22-ounce bottles and in bars in kegs.
That is until the 25-year-old cider maker was exclusively invited to the Vermont Hard Cider Co.’s state-of-the-art cidery in Middlebury, Vermont. Full Article Here
